Known for their strength, speed and good nature. The American Quarter Horse is one of the most popular breeds in the world. They are used for a wide variety of disciplines.

The American Quarter Horse Association was founded in 1940 and has registered almost 6 million horses worldwide.

Average height is: 14.0-16.0hh and the Association recognizes 17 different colors in the breed: Chestnut, sorrel, black, brown, gray, bay, palomino, buckskin, cremello, perlino, white, dun, red dun, grullo, red roan, bay roan and blue roan.


It was a time, when, as they used to say, “a man afoot is no man a’tall.” The cowboy’s favorite was the Quarter Horse, and he called them all “Steeldusts,” after the great stallion whose racing triumphs were known throughout cow country.
