About The Breed:

A treasure of the American West, the Paint Horse breed originated in the United States. They are known for their flashy color patterns. Standing an average of 14.0h-16.0hh, they come in a wide variety of colors and different types of color patterns including Tobiano, Overo, Tovero. They have a stock type conformation. The American Paint Stock Horse Association was formed in 1962.

Descended from horses introduced by the Spanish conquistadors, Paints became part of the herds of wild horses that roamed the Western deserts and plains. Once domesticated, because of their working ability and heart, the Paint was cherished by cowboys for cattle work. Native Americans revered the Paint, which they believed to possess magical powers.
