American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft

American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft

About The Breed:

DSC02752.jpg

When the owner of the Sugarbus Hitch Company, a man named Everett Smith, first saw the spotted warmbdlood called the Stonewall Sport Horses, it brought about a change in his Percheron breeding program.

A change that would start a new breed.

In 1998 Everett bred his Percheron mare to the stallion Stonewall Rascal and in 1999 the first Sugarbush Harlequin Draft, a loud colored leopard colt, was born. Today they can be spotted at events all around the USA including horse expos and BreyerFest. Average height is between 15.2-17.0hh. They come in a wide variety of spotted colors and patterns and can also be found in solid colors.
