  • The breed originated in the mountains of Kentucky.

  • They are naturally gaited and smooth to ride.

  • The classic coloring is a beautiful Chocolate with Flaxen mane and tail.

  • Other colors include Silver Grulla, Silver Bay (Red Chocolate) and Black.

  • Height range is between 14.2 and 16.0hh.

  • They are currently listed as, “Watch” status by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.
